HOW WILL I KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG?
There are a few common warning signs that something may be going wrong with your turbo, these include but are not limited to:
- Slow Acceleration and lack of power
- Burning oil faster than usual
- Engine Management Light (EML) on
- Loud whistling or whining noise
- Turbo is smoking or you can see oil around the seal (gasket)
If you experience any of these symptoms you should get the vehicle checked right away. If left too long and the turbo breaks or a part of the turbo disintegrates, it could cause serious engine damage.
WHAT DO WE DO?
