Choose the correct service
Different vehicles use different refrigerant gases. The booking journey will use vehicle information where available, while our team can confirm the gas type if it is unclear.
What an air-conditioning service checks
Our workshop checks include air temperature at the vents, refrigerant quantity and pressure, and the condition of accessible hoses and fittings. The gas service removes the old refrigerant and oil, checks the system and recharges it with the appropriate refrigerant and oil where suitable. A leak or another fault may require further investigation before the system can work correctly.
Questions about air conditioning
Is microbiological cleaning the same as a regas?
No. Microbiological cleaning is a separate treatment for the air-conditioning system. Choose the relevant gas service when a refrigerant service is required; the cleaning option does not include a refrigerant recharge.
How can I identify the refrigerant in my vehicle?
The refrigerant type is often shown on a label under the bonnet. If the label or vehicle information is unclear, call us before selecting R134a or R1234yf.
What if the air conditioning still does not cool properly?
Weak cooling can have more than one cause. Tell us about any previous recharge, leak or repair so we can advise whether a gas service or a diagnostic assessment is the right first step.
